Dear Students,
We hope you are enjoying your summer. Enclosed are some important dates regarding the fall athletic schedules. Pre-season practice will be upon us soon, so please mark these dates on the calendar if you are interested in the following sports. Otherwise, we look forward to seeing everyone on the first day of school, August 24th.
*Athletes must have a current physical and emergency medical form/insurance wavier on file to participate in school sponsored athletics. (This includes tryouts)
FOOTBALL:
July 18 – 20 – Grades 1-6 Muskie football camp at JGHS from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.
August 8 – First Practice 7th & 8th grade practice is 6:00 – 8:00 pm.
Practice August 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 15, 16, 17, 18 (6:00 – 8:00 pm)
August 22 - 24 (3:00 – 5:00 pm)
Open Field – August 2 and 4 (6:00 – 7:30 pm.)

VOLLEYBALL:
August 1 –Tryouts – 7th grade 10:00 am to 12:00 noon, 8th grade 8:00 – 10:00 am
August 2 – Tryouts – 7th grade 10:00 am to 12:00 noon, 8th grade 8:00 – 10:00 am
August 3 – Tryouts – 7th grade 10:00 am to 12:00 noon, 8th grade 8:00 –10:00 am
Camp – 7th & 8th grade: July 18 - 22, 2:00-4:00 pm @ Muskingum University
Open Gyms: June 13, 15, 21, 23 7th grade 9:00 – 11:00 am
Open Gyms: June 20, 22, 30 8th grade 9:00 – 10:30 am
Open Gyms: July 6, 11, 13, 18, 20, 25 8th grade 9:00 – 10:30 am
CROSS COUNTRY, GOLF and SOCCER: These are community (club) sports that are open to all EMMS students. These sports are not administered under the guidelines of the East Muskingum Middle School Athletic Policy. For additional information regarding these activities please contact the people listed below.
