Individuals selected for induction into the Hall of Fame should meet the following criteria:
| 1. | | They have graduated from John Glenn High School or New Concord High School in East Muskingum Schools |

| 2. | | They have engaged in their chosen endeavor for ten or more years. |
| | | |
| 3. | | They have distinguished themselves as evidenced by honors or other recognitions confirmed by their colleagues or associates. |

4. | | They have made by their activities and accomplishments a notable contribution to society. |
| | |
5. | | Selectees may include honorary memberships if they qualify in all areas, particularly school/community service but did not graduate here. |
| | |
6. | | In the selection process, preference shall be given to living nominees, but posthumous awards could be considered. |
| | | |
| 7. | | Two to four inductees will be chosen each year by a selection committee of seven to nine members, composed of school staff members, alumni, and community. Two-thirds of the committee membership have to cast an affirmative vote for a nominee to be selected. |
| | | |
| 8. | | Each year, the inductees will be recognized at the John Glenn High School Scholarship Banquet. |
