The East Muskingum Schools Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame was established in 1988.
Membership in this Hall of Fame is the highest honor that East Muskingum Schools can bestow upon its graduates. Its purpose is to honor graduates who, by their accomplishments in the arts, business, government, law, medicine, religion, sciences, teaching, volunteerism, agriculture, etc., have contributed to the vitality of the community whether local, state, or national.
Two to four inductees are chosen each year by a selection committee of seven to nine members, composed of school staff members, alumni, and community. Two-thirds of the committee membership have to cast an affirmative vote for a nominee to be selected.
Each year, the inductees are recognized at the John Glenn High School Scholarship Banquet.
Nominations are accepted throughout the year and all nominations are kept in a central database for review. Past and current nominations are considered in the selection process. The community is encouraged to submit nominations at any time.
