School Counseling Philosophy
We believe that guidance is for all students. The focus of the school counseling program is to provide experiences to ensure that every student progresses toward fulfillment of his/her educational, personal, and career goals. We also believe that parents are an essential component in the educational planning process of their student. Programs are planned at each grade level to move students toward fulfillment of their goals.
The school counselors are available to help students with their problems and concerns. Each counselor is assigned two grade levels, but if a student has a preference for a counselor, he or she may request an appointment with that counselor. Students may visit with counselors before school, during study halls, after school or other arranged times. Parents are welcomed to visit with counselors also.
